Seeking Inspiration

I have to work in some pieces for a couple of Springs Art Show. My main inspiration right now are these beautiful flowers in my studio J *LOVE* it. (Thanks Andrew :) )

Sooo.. of course I start drawings some flowers… And I realize we’re still in winter! I mean.. almost everybody is living in winter temps right now. And I know I suppose to be working in the pieces I need to have ready in a couple of week, but I couldn’t help but create this print to beat the winter blue ;)

OK. Now, going back to the main point of this post. I have been working in flowers and fishes the last months. I still have 3 more fishes panels to finish, but I’m looking for more “Spring” inspiration. What else I can paint? What you will want to see with my ink style?

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog because I followed you back here and I'm amazed by your gorgeous work. The detail is truly stunning.

As for spring...i think of warm breezes, the chirps of the birds that have returned, the green little things sprouting up from the earth, the little lambs and calves that were born in Jan. that follow their mothers around in the fields and are agile enough now to frolic, and being able to leave the coat in the closet (just maybe :)

Snails? What about the little creatures that get no play? I could see those done with your magic ink. : ) I'm ready for Spring, too. It may be a while but at least you are right that we can count on it showing up eventually!
p.s. glad to hear you are a yoga person -- i can't get over how much i love it and am just now finding it.

Love your flowers (and inspirational message!) and your fishes are always so divine. As for ideas - what about something technological? It may not be your kind of thing, and it may sound completely weird, but I think your organic style combined with a technical subject could be quite awesome. A telephone, a sewing machine, a truck ... I've also been thinking that it would be really interesting to see how you would adapt your style to do a human face, for example.
