Playing

One of the presents I made/gave to my husband is this block puzzle game. Fun thing to play while watching football in a lazy-cozy Sunday at my mother in law house.
Hope you had (& having!) a wonderful Christmas day and weekend!

P.D: This puzzle was made using 2x2 wooden blocks and prints of my artwork ;)

few things...

Thanks for all the sweet comments about my case’s designs at Target. It’s super excited when you see your work in some real products and in a place like Target. It’s a great experience.
Last Saturday, I only found one of my cases at Target because they already sold all the cases with my little bird design (super super cool!). I was planning to go to other Target and check if they have both, but lucky my, Jeanee from Dirty Laundry sent me these pictures, Thank you!

OK. Now I have to go because I have a something really cool to do… I’m going to get a massage! Yeap… I’m super busy but I have to take some free time and go to pamper myself with my hubby money ;)
On my last birthday, my husband (my boyfriend at that time.. btw, you know I got engaged on my b-day?, yes, in front of everybody in an Italian restaurant, but that is other story) gave me a spa gift certificate. My birthday was on JANUARY… I think I have to go to use the certificate RIGHT NOW before expire. Soooo… no more excuses… time to get a refreshing deep tissue massage.
But before I leave, I want to show you what I have been doing lately…

Paiting and painting...

December 6… when this happen? Christmas is going to be here in less than 20 days (in the blink of an eye!), and I think I have to start doing some shopping… or getting seriously crafty and work on some presents!.
Hopefully, 5 days before Christmas, I will start feeling the urge to take care of the presents and just focus on that… In the meantime, I’m enjoying creating and stocking tons of new artwork. I don’t know why, but I have the feeling I need to produce a big amount of body of work right now. It’s like something in my head is telling me that right now it’s my moment to create... no idea why, but I will pay attention to my gut feeling, the holiday presents can wait ;)

And here my last creation ;)
Looks like I have a theme going on here…

Ganesha, Lord of Success

Ganesha is favorite Hindu Deity. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati and has an elephant head. He is the Lord of Success and destroyer of evils and obstacles.
I have been looking for a wall hanging Ganesha to put next to the door, but I haven’t found the perfect one. During the last weekend, I decided to draw my own Ganesha and make a print.

Ganesha: Lord of Success

I posted my drawing on my Society 6 and my Etsy shop, and I already ordered a T-shirt for myself :) I can’t wait to receive it!

Also, I create this other version of the drawing using the quote: “The key to happiness is having dreams. The key to success is making your dreams come true”
Hope you like it.

Me and my pets

First, THANK YOU so much for all the supporting and encouraging comments in my last post. You don’t have idea how much your words mean to me. THANK YOU! I have been learning I’m not a super duper star and not everybody will love my designs or the things I do. I really know and understand that… but still its’ hard when you REALLY like something and you don’t get the response you want, and that is life ;)
Again… THANKS! You made my day :)

OK. Now it’s time to show you more of my pet drawings obsession. I guess soon I’ll(and you will) get tired of me painting animals and I’ll switch to other subject (indeed I’m already drawings something different, but that is for other post!).
Look what I did… a little bunny! My brother decided the name is Danielle.

Hello little bunny

And because I have getting request for some custom orders of my little pets, I’m listing new “Kids Inspired art décor prints”. These 6 designs will be in my shop at the end of the day.

Mixed feelings

Today I’m feeling:
-Disappointed. Every time I participate in any of the Spoonflower contest, I really do it because I enjoy the challenge and the contest gives me a little bit of “push” to design something. Of course, if my design finish in the Top Ten, that is awesome. Well, my last design (In woodland) wasn’t in the Top Ten yesterday :( I usually NEVER get disappointed for something like that because as an artist you learn to grow thicker skin for those situation, but honestly I feel a tad sad yesterday. I REALLY liked my design, I mean REALLY. Indeed I’m working a whole collection base in that design because I think have great potential. So… doesn't matter what they say, I still love so much little fabric ;)

Ahhh and BTW, this is my submission for the 2011 Calendar :) Here the link if you want to vote.

Hello 2011 Tea Towel Calendar

-Pleased. I can’t help, but every time I see my work in real products, I feel super happy.
I ordered a runner from my Envelop shop and I think looks great!

Table Runner

BTW, my sister Andreina have the same runner in her apartment in Amsterdam ;)

A couple of weeks ago, my husband ordered a cover for his iPhone 4. I took a picture of the case next to the original drawing :)

iPhone case

And the same week, Jeanne from Dirty Laundry got the same case ;)

-In love. Seriously… I love this cow now!

Moooo...

You can check My Mooooo friend (and iPhone cases) here.

-Exited. The weather is super beautiful today. I can’t wait to go out tonight and party to celebrate the first Friday!

Happy weekend everybody!

Dear November

Oh sneaky November… what are you doing here? Who told you to come so soon? Unbelievable! Only 2 months left and 2010 will be history :(
Usually I’m always super excited with the beginning of each month, but this time is a little bittersweet. Don’t get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY love this time of the year, indeed October and November are my favorite months, but I feel a little bit sad about this wonderful 2010. I’m not ready for a new year full of adventures.
Well… I don’t have other option and start preparing myself for 2010 farewell. I promise to do my super best and get the maximum of the next 2 months. This year has been REALLY good to me. 2010, I’ll always remember you ;)

So… how about MORE calendars to start getting in the 2011 mood?
One of these designs is going to participate in the next Spoonflower Contest. Today is the last day to send the design and I’m still thinking which one I should send.
What you think?

this and that

I have a few things to share with you today.

First, FINALLY I made other design to participate in this week Spoonflower contest. The theme this week was "Creatures of Woodland". My idea was to create a design with a quilt feeling. In my mind I could picture a cool duvet with cool forest animals. In my mind, I could see the duvet in really vibrant colors. For some crazy reason,(no idea why!) while I was working in the design my mind switch to a more warm pink palette and now the design looks like this.

In Woodland

I still like it a lot (and you can vote for it if you want ;) just click here to go to the Spoonflower contest), but still I wanted to see the design in the vibrant colors I previously had in mind.
Soooo... I create some images to update my Society 6 shop. The cool thing about Society 6 is the ability to create cool things like iPhone cases, laptops and iPads skins, t-shirts, canvas and more.
I REALLY like how the designs look in these colors... What you think?

You can check my whole shop here ;)

Prints and more

And taking about cases and skins. Now you can get my designs in skins for blackberry, iPhones, Kindle, laptops and more in DecalGirl.com :) I got some samples last week and I LOVE IT!!!

You want to check my shop? Just click here.

My designs in decalgirl

And talking about samples. I'll do a little giveaway with some of those samples! This time it's going to be a little bit different. Next Monday (Nov 1), I'll send my newsletter with a couple of new things, a little freebie and the giveaway info. If you want to participate, you have to receive my newsletter ;) If you are not in mailing list, you can ckick here to suscribe right now!

OK. That is all for the day. Now I have to start looking online for my Halloween makeup ideas. I think I'll just take my Japanese robe and paint my face like geisha. I'll be a Geisha with short hair ;)

Happy Thursday!!
