Mission Accomplish. Part 1

Yeahhhh!! I got the fabrics! Spoonflower is *AWESOME*.

Ok, the first step is ready, now I just have to make something with my fabrics!. I’m wondering how much fabric I need to make a standard pillow case.

I would love to sell some yards of fabrics in my shop and see what other people create ;)

Those look great!!

How much fabric you would use depends on the size of the pillow you want to make or if you are making a removable cover for a pillow. A small pillow is probably about 12 inches square - cutting the fabric at about 13 inches square for a 1/2 inch seam. If you are making a pillow cover you need a little bit more depending on the type of enclosre you want (ie zipper, flap, button). Good luck!

Let me know if you have any other questions. I would be glad to help.

Thank you Stacey!
I want to make pillow cover with zippers (maybe). I think if I decide to sell those in my shop they will be easy to ship ;)

Gorgeous! These would make amazing tote bags, too!

You are very welcome!! I don't know if I have ever posted this to you before, but your blog and work is one of the ones that I look forward to. I actually have your free 2010 calendar at my desk.

Whatever style pillow you choose I am sure will look great. I think you should do something like this though (http://images.teamsugar.com/files/upl1/6/61259/33_2008/steal.png). You can maximize the number of pillows that you can make with your fabric.
