Getting out of my comfort zone

I usually don’t draw in big size pieces because my work in highly detail and I’m afraid of getting out of my “comfort zone”. I feel pretty good working with my standard formats. They are easy to work and I can carry my work anywhere and work in almost any place. Everything was working perfect, till the day I decide to toy around with a 20 x 24 canvas. Holly Cannoli! You want to know why I have been a bad blogger?
This is the reason:

20 x 24… Why I do this to myself? Because I love to push myself and see how far I can get ;) AND, as you can see, it's not ready and have to be ready this thursday...

And you know what are these?

6 canvases, 14 x 18… And guess what? I have to have all these pieces beautifully ready in 18 days. Yeap… I’m not sure how much hair I’m going to lose or how many hours I’m not going to sleep. But one thing is sure, I’m super duper happy for all these amazing opportunities and I totally believe I’m going to be a fulltime artist, soon, really soon... (I’m almost there!)
I have to run right now, but don’t worry, I’m going to tell your tomorrow for what I’m doing these pieces.
See ya!

Love it all, can't wait to hear what you're doing. And, I'll be able to say I knew you when. Well, sort of anyway. What pen do you use to create your work? Just curious. How many do you go through in a month?

Thanks!
I use rapidograph :) http://www.dickblick.com/products/koh-i-noor-rapidograph-pens/ And I just have to refill with the black ink ;) (and also I can use colors ink!!!)

Wow, that's one big lot of work. But I am sure you can achieve the task set before you.
Make sure you glance away from your work every so often to prevent eye strain. It's like concentrating on the computer screen too long, you are supposed to look away at something further away every few minutes or so. I would imagine all your beautiful detailed work is quite tiring on the eyes - and you need those - they are precious!

And very well done on the big canvas! It looks really cool.
