Life have been pretty busy the last months. Having a baby is wonderful.. and difficult! I'm still trying to find a balance and see how I'm going to take care of Ava and work at the same time. So far I just decide to take it easy until she turn 2 (or 3 or 6!) month and after that I will re open my Etsy shop ans see if I can manage everything (crazy, right?. I'm really wondering how other people do it... I guess I will have to take one step at the time. How you do it?
I owe you million of posts, but for some reason I was waiting to redesign my blog to come back in a new totally different phase of my life... but who was I kidding? I don't have time to take a shower, when I will find time to redesign this blog? Not any time soon!
Well... one step at the time, right?
And because right now Ava is having a nap (taking about naps, Ava is 7 weeks old today, how many hours she should be sleeping during the day?), I can share with you a little something I start doing the last month.
A few weeks ago I decided to do a little work every week. I wish I can paint a big canvas or do a new print, but usually I don't now how much time I will have available to paint, but I need to create in order to feel better... And if mama is happy, everybody is happy.
Sooo... Every Monday now is going to be Coloring Monday!
Here the free coloring page for this week: (click here to download the 8.5 x 11 page)
And here you can get the pages I made the last weeks ;)
- Dream Big
- 2 Birds
- Little Cardinal
- Prairie
Hope you enjoy the free coloring pages, and every Monday you will have a new one!
And if you want to know why I haven't post ion this blog for so long, you can blame this cute face ;)

Congratulations on your gorgeous little Ava!! So glad to see you back!! Truly you need a licensing contract...so you can just create and let others worry about the rest!! Your work is amazing!!
Don't be too hard on yourself right now. Just enjoy each moment with your baby. This time is so short even though it feels long while it's happening. Each baby is different, some people schedule their babies, others demand feed. I preferred to demand feed but it is a sacrifice. I'm old enough to be a grandma now, but one thing I learned while my daughter was a baby was to never procrastinate, ever!! It was a promise I made myself while she was little....because something always sabotages the time you thought you had!! So glad you are scheduling time to create!!! Good for you, it will make you whole!!! I laugh at the no shower thing...that is soooo true!!
All the best... I look forward to more of your beautiful work!!
Hugs Giggles
And remember, Only the mother truly knows what their child needs!!
Thanks @Giggles!
I'm trying to don't be hard at myself, but I cant help ;)
I have some licensing contracts right now,but still I cant rest because I LOVE to draw, paint and create!
I was planning to put my baby on schedule, but right now I'm more on demand. I really want to enjoy this phase with my baby, because she is going to grow super fast.
Valentina,
I havenever commented on a blog before..but I LOVE your art and just found your blog before you had that gorgeous Ava! I have your decals from decalgirls on my computer and nook (that's where I found your amazing art first!)
I was a schedule girl myself and my 4 daughters still go to bed great! We have never had bedtime problems!
The book "BABYWISE" is THE BEST!!! We did this from day one and All of our girls were sleeping through the night by 6 weeks and were so happy all of the time because they knew what to expect of their day! (and so did their Mama!) =)
Good luck to you! Enjoy every minute, they go by too fast...my oldest turns 13 in a month! UGH!
Thanks for the coloring pages ...all of my girls are little artists and we print your pages on cardstock so they can water color them! They are hanging all over my house! LOL!
